Hello world!
Welcome to my blog. I started this blog because our society is full of a fast pace mentality that has the potential to cause burn out, feelings of inadequacy, and feelings of being overwhelmed. God did not intend for us to live an overwhelmed life feeling like we are going at it alone. He wants us to seek him and to pursue his will for our lives. He has a purpose and plan for each and every one of us and it is our responsibility to listen and focus on who God wants us to be.
As a wife and a mother I have experienced feelings of inadequacy more times than I can count. I finally took a step back to really observe what changes needed to be made in my own life in order to make this time here on earth as pleasant as it can be for myself and my family. Sometimes, doing this can be difficult because it means that we need to take an honest look at our values and ask ourselves if we are truly prioritizing what matters. Are we making decisions that benefit us, our families, our spouse, and that serve God? Is there a balance in the decisions we are making and the actions we are taking?
I looked at what I value most then I looked at my actions to see if I was truly living a life that aligns with my values first. I realized that I was doing it all backwards. I was on the go all day with work, school, errands, cleaning the house, and trying to always make everything perfect. By the end of the day, my family, who I value the most, was getting what was left over of me, which was a worn out and tired wife and mother. I was experiencing burn out from my day to day routine and I was ready to make positive changes in my life. I began to figure out how to prioritize my time and how I could really be present in the moment, especially with my family. I started really showing up for them and for myself, meaning that I began to make an effort to be mentally present and implement personal development practices into my routine.
Since doing this, I have found my own peace which has positively affected those around me. Through my training, education, and personal experiences, I would love to help others on their journey with their own personal development. We are not able to pour from an empty cup and it is important for us to find what it is that we love, enjoy, and truly care about that will keep our cup full so that we are able to not only able to find peace within ourselves but to also be able to adequately and consciously give our attention to those that we love and to serve others.
This is a whole package deal and a true balancing act. We have to be aware of several components of ourselves which include the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual composition of our being and make sure that we are giving ourselves the love, care, and value we deserve. I would love for each of us to enjoy our own unique journey of self exploration, internal peace, and personal development therefore I am here to provide guidance, insight, and support in order to help you achieve that.
